Karen has been a funeral director since 2014, after graduating from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in Houston. She was a licensed cosmetologist for over 20 years and also worked as a foster parent at a non-profit children's home. Karen chose funeral service to continue working with families during their time of need. Karen became a full-time funeral director at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in 2015; later becoming manager in 2020.
Karen and her husband Mark have three grown children and two beautiful granddaughters. They enjoy spending their time traveling, especially cruising.
Lori has been with Pecan Grove since June 2014. She worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 25 years and her desire to help people has led her to the funeral service profession. Lori is one of our Funeral Directors, who graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. Having been born and raised here in the Waco area, she feels as though each person who comes through the door is already part of her family. She and her husband, Tom, live in Lorena. They have two children, Jessica, Regian, and her husband Kirk, parents of Lori and Tom's adorable grandson Kallan; and James Dickson, currently an Electrical Engineering student at Texas A&M University! “Gig 'em!”
Lori feels incredibly blessed for the opportunity to work with others who have the same care and compassion for helping others in their time of need.
