Winston Jones

Winston Jones, 70, of Mooreville, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Mooreville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, at the funeral home.
Winston was born January 18, 1944 in Marlin to Anson and Katherine Hodges Jones. He graduated from Chilton High School and attended Temple College. Winston married Shirley Herrington, on February 2, 1968. He served on several committees and boards. Winston farmed for his entire life.
Winston was preceded in death by his parents.
Winston is survived by his wife Shirley Jones; son James Jones and wife Brandie; sisters Ann Phelps and husband Wayne and Mary Jane Huber and husband Carroll; grandsons Anson, Tyler, and Heston; nephews Mark Phelps, David Phelps, and Matthew Huber, along with his extended family and friends.
