Wilma Joyce Wuebker Westbrook, 85, of Robinson passed away peacefully into heaven August 21, 2021.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 27 at 10 a.m. at First Evangelical Church, 6347 N. Interstate 35 Frontage Road in Robinson, Reverend Richard Rust officiating. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Drive.
Wilma was born October 15, 1935 to Herman Richard and Emma Louise (Thiele) Wuebker in McLennan County. She was a graduate of Chilton High School. She married John Westbrook on October 16, 1954. She worked for Cameron Mills, Waco Plastering Company, and retired from American Income Life Insurance of Waco after many years of service. In her time, she was an avid runner and softball player. She was devoted to and loved her family deeply, and enjoyed cooking for and spending time with them.
Being the oldest of three children, she was in charge of taking care of her sister and brother while her parents worked in the fields.
She was a member of First Evangelical Church of Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Herman Richard Wuebker, Jr., grandson Joshua Westbrook, and great-granddaughter Rylan Fogle.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Westbrook; sons Johnny Westbrook and wife Kalinda and Russell Westbrook and wife Esmeralda; grandchildren John Westbrook IV, Courtney Fogle and husband Justin, and James Westbrook; great-granddaughters Lexie Maxwell and Ella Fogle; sister Evelyn Farney and husband Darrell; sister-in-law Nita Wuebker; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lewis and Lavonne Westbrook, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are James Westbrook, Justin Fogle, Brian Wuebker, Chris Wuebker, Greg Powell, and Dale Kolls.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of the donor’s choice.
