WILLIAM BOYD TRUEHITT
Boyd Truehitt, a Waco native, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 10, 2018, at the age of 71. Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday Jan. 20, 2018, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home Chapel, 3124 Robinson Dr. with Chaplain Larry Holden officiating.
Boyd was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Waco, Texas the son of the late William Henry and Lois Lorraine (Polston) Truehitt and attended University High School. Mr. Truehitt was a well-known commercial and residential painter in the Waco area for many years until his 2006 retirement. During much of his life, he enjoyed BBQ, bingo, camping, fishing and a challenging game of pool. It has been said that he enjoyed having a good time.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Patsy Ruth Sandoval.
Survivors include three sons, William B. Truehitt, Jr. and wife Felicia, Steven G. Truehitt, John R. Villapiano; a brother, Gerald Truehitt a sister, Debbie Sherman and husband Doug; three grandchildren, Amanda, Jaiden and Mackenzie.
The family expresses their heart felt appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Lake Shore Village Nursing Home and Baylor Scott and White Hospice for their excellent care and devotion to Boyd; along with a special thanks to Glenn Williams for his special care.
