William ‘Bill’ Junior Matejcek Aug. 26, 1930----Feb. 17, 2014
William ‘Bill’ Junior Matejcek, 83, of Teague, formerly of Robinson, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 in a local hospital. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Moulton, TX. with burial to follow at Moulton City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb.20 at Pecan Grove F.H. 3124 Robinson Dr.
Bill was born Aug. 26, 1930 in Lee County, TX. to William Max and Clara Matejcek. He was in the U.S Army from Feb. 2, 1953 thru Dec. 16, 1954, where he fought in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW since 1972 and St. Paul Lutheran Church of Bellmead. He married Dorothy Ann Marburger on June 14, 1959. He worked 32 years for Soil Conservation Service and retired in Dec. 1986. Then for many years he helped his wife, Dorothy, sell Avon in Waco and the surrounding area and was known to many of Dorothy’s Avon customers’ as “ Mr. Bill”. He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Dorothy Ann Matejcek, of Teague. Two daughters, Donna Allison of Henderson and husband Dale, Shelly Watson and husband H.L. of Teague. Five grandchildren, Becky Kitchens and husband Jeff, Josh Sanders, Justin Jernigan and wife Chantell, Jacob Jernigan, Jesika Jones and husband Josh. Three great grandchildren, William Jernigan, Kara Jernigan, and Camilla Kitchens. One sister, Ruby Hartfiel. And many other close family and friends.
