William “Billy” Lee Good, 73, of Bruceville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Buchanan officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Calm Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22 at the funeral home.
Billy was born on May 6, 1950 in Hillsboro, Texas to William and Betty Good. He lived most of his childhood in Mount Calm, Texas where he was known as “Billy Boy” by many. Billy graduated from Hubbard High School in 1968 and attended TSTI receiving his certificate for Cable Electronics. He enlisted and served in the United States Air Force Reserve for 6 years. He began a 32 year career in Cable TV repair with over 30 years at Time Warner Cable in Waco, Texas. After retirement from Time Warner he went on to work for Gold Star Transit as a Special Needs Bus Driver for 17 years.
Billy has two daughters from his first marriage to Mary McElroy, He then married the love of his life Ronda Moore on June 18, 1983. They have one son together.
Billy was a wonderful Husband, Father, Papa, Brother and Uncle. But first and foremost, Billy was a dedicated Servant of Christ. Billy never missed his morning bible study or time with God. Billy had a gift for praying from the heart and touching anyone who heard his prayer. He never ended a conversation with someone without saying Praise the Lord or God Bless You. He was a faithful member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Lorena where he was a member for 25 years. He absolutely loved attending his grandchildren's events. In his spare time, he loved working on riding lawn mowers, and tinkering with anything that needed to be fixed. He was the king of southern engineering,
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Billy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ronda; sister, Glenda Tucker and husband Ken; son, Daniel Good; daughters, Michelle Hester, Melisa McDonald and husband John; grandchildren, Haley Hester, Bradley Hester, McKenzie McDonald, Will McDonald; sister-in-law, Sandy Moore; along with many nieces and nephews.
