Wilda Ann Gage died July 29, 2022, after a 10 year struggle with scleroderma and pulmonary fibrosis. She was also a 15 year cancer survivor.
Wilda was born in a rural area of McLennan County near Crawford. Her parents were Willie and Hermina Geltemeyer. She had great memories of growing up on a farm by Hog Creek.
She was a graduate of Valley Mills High School and Grayson County College. She married Jerry D. Gage, Jr. on November 13, 1965. To this union was born two children, Jeff and Joy.
Wilda learned to sew at an early age and continued to enjoy this lifelong hobby. After retirement, she made many lap quilts for the homebound. She retired in 2013 from First Baptist Woodway. She had worked various bookkeeping jobs for several companies.
Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, brother William (Bill) Geltemeyer and an infant daughter. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Gage, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tina Gage; grandchildren Jeanie, Josie, Joshua and Josiah Gage; daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Anthony Macaluso; and sister-in-law Brenda Geltemeyer and her family.
