Weldon Todd Bush

Weldon Todd Bush, 74, of Waco, was welcomed to his heavenly home on October 6th, 2024.  A service commemorating his life will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, October 11th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home at 3124 Robinson Drive in Waco, Texas 76706.

Weldon was born in Waco, Texas to Parents Rufus Todd Bush (R.T.) and Buanita Lucille Bush, née Sparks. A Graduate of Waco High School class of 1968, Weldon would go on to serve more than seven combined years in the United States Navy and Air Force. Later he found employment in his birthplace with the City of Waco, graduating to a management position he would maintain until his retirement. Weldon was known by all as a happy and fun-loving soul, who would enter every room smiling, and leave everyone laughing. He was also devout of faith and an avid churchgoer, with much of his time in worship spent at Harvest Time Revival Center.

On February 14th, 2003, Weldon would marry the love of his life, Martha Gene Lawrence. The two of them found joy in their shared faith, deep love, and their combined families’ many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Weldon is preceded in death by his younger sister, Lydia Ann Bush, and his parents Rufus Todd Bush and Buanita Lucille Bush.

Weldon is survived by his wife, Martha Gene Bush, his children Brandon Todd Bush, Brandi Jewel Jones, LaShequa Adkison and Ellis LaDevlon Cunningham, and his brother James Bush.
