Wayne McCoy

Wayne "Papa" McCoy, 70, of Golinda, passed away at his home Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, surrounded by his family. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Friday November 20th 2009 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. with the Rev. Stephen Daywitt and Mr. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Wayne was born on April 17, 1939, in Waco, Texas to George and Jessie McCoy. He married Martha Saulters on May 13, 1961 in Waco. He retired from Southwest Sprayer and Equipment in Waco in 2001. He had many friends and everyone that knew him, loved him. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a super uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wiley and Bo McCoy; three sisters, Tommie Tiemon, Barbara Richardson and Opal Murphy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Martha "Sally" McCoy; two daughters, Carla Lay, Lisa Chavarria and husband, Sam; son, Shannon McCoy and wife, Melanie, all of Lorena; sister, Tiny Elliot; granddaughters, Jessica, Ashton, Amber and Ashley; grandsons, Dakota, Jordan and Myles; step-grandchildren, Masie, Mason, Makenzie and Madison; great-grandchildren, Kacie, Tayler, Haley, Aariyah, Braylen, Camryn, Jazy, Presley, Avrey and Ethyn.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jack Eaton, Gary Gideon, Joe Don Gideon, Larry Heffington, Scott Saulters, Jamie Heffington, Jerry Richardson, Jason Johnston.
The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice and especially Carol and Mary Beth for there loving care.
A special thank you to our niece, Janet Underwood for her loving care and concern for "Papa".
