Wanda Struth, 76, went to be with the Lord on Monday. Wanda was a resident of Robinson, Texas at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Imogene Tull, Dana Dean Struth, husband of 55 years, and brother, James Tull.
Wanda is survived by a son, Gary Struth, and wife, Bethany, and two daughters, Sherri Daunis, and husband, Don, and Robin Oakes, and husband, John, and five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, as well as many friends and extended family.
Being an avid gardener, Wanda enjoyed many garden tours with her husband. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, and The Daughters of the American Revolution. Her grandchildren were her delight, and she loved to spend time with them and encourage them in their various activities. Wanda had the gift of hospitality, and was ready at a moment's notice to minister to friends and family with her delicious chocolate chip cookies and homemade casseroles and pies. Even during her final weeks at Wesley Woods, she would ask the staff and fellow residents if there was anything she could do to help them.
Wanda was devoted to the Lord, and wrote in her Bible that she has enjoyed her life's work as a wife, mother, and grandmother. In her last days, she blessed her children, praying that they would continue a life-long love affair with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A private burial was conducted on January 22nd. Visitation will be at 806 W. Denison in Robinson, from 6 - 8pm on Friday evening. Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 25, 2014, in the chapel of Highland Baptist Church, at the corner of 30th and Maple.
The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to Bluebonnet Healthcare & Wesley Woods for their tender-loving care during Wanda's final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Waco Salvation Army, 4721 W. Waco Dr, Waco, Texas 76710.
