Wanda Jean (Standridge) Dutschmann, age 84, of Lorena passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Waco, TX, next to her husband, Floyd.
Wanda was born April 11, 1939, to Norman and Arlene Standridge in Whitehall, Texas. She grew up on a farm in the Stampede Valley south of Moody. She went to school in Moody, graduating in 1957. Wanda got her first job as a teller at First National Bank of Moody. She married Floyd Ernest Dutschmann of McGregor on June 7, 1958. They were married for 61 years at the time of Floyd’s death on June 18, 2019. She was a member at Newland Drive Church of Christ. The last 3 ½ years she was a resident at the Delaney at Lake Waco, where she called home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Dutschmann; sister, Janet “Sissy” Mayor; brother, Bobby Standridge.
Wanda is survived by her five children, Marcie Schreck and husband Bill of Amarillo, Doug Dutschmann and wife Sheila of Valley Mills, Jill Perryman and husband Jerry Jr. of Chilton, Michael Dutschmann of Valley Mills, and Krissy Matthews and husband Bo of Hewitt; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Doug, Michael, and Krissy would like to give their upmost gratitude to Scott Bushong, Kim Alston and all the staff at The Delany for the unwavering care that was given to their mom.
