Vivion Roger Williams born February 5, 1944 in Waco, Texas. Vivion is a direct descendant of Andrew Jackson Clark born in 1862 in Gonzales County, Texas. He is the son of Evalyn Ruby Chapline Williams Davidson and Ross Luther Williams.
Vivion passed away peacefully at his home after a long battle with COPD on Thursday March 10, 2022.
He attended Bells Hills Elementary, West Junior High School, Waco High, and University High School in Waco, Texas. Vivion graduated in 1962 and then worked for Joe Garner Lumber Company and then pursued a career as a pipe fitter with UA Local 669, retiring in 1999 after 30 years of service. Vivion met Betty Layne Parker at West Junior High School and married October 25, 1963. Vivion and Betty made their home in Waco, Texas and raised 3 sons of their own and also provided a loving home for a few teenagers in need.
Vivion was preceded in death by his grandmothers Eva Lee Powell and Allie Williams, step-father William Floyd Davidson, mother Evalyn, father Ross Williams, and brothers Ross Lee Williams and Scott Clark Williams.
He is survived by his wife Betty Layne Parker Williams, sons Kevin Allen Williams and Wife Tonya of Weatherford, TX, Parker D Williams and wife Destiny of Georgetown, TX, and Roger Floyd Williams of San Miguel de Allende Guanajuato, Mexico. 10 grandchildren: Tyler Ross Williams, Marissa Layne Williams, William Hunter Ranspot, Dylan Wyatt Ranspot, Payton Baylee Ranspot, Fabran Parker Williams, Trevor Emerson Williams, Miranda Madison Williams, Matteo Williams, Francesca Williams Trischitta, and 3 great grandchildren: Elizabeth Jolene Ranspot, Cooper Wayne Ranspot, and Madelyn Louise Williams.
A graveside visitation will be Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 at 11 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery 2124 South 5th Street, Waco, TX with graveside service at 12 noon. Officiating the service is Jim Smith, elder of New Road Church of Christ where Vivion and Betty have been members for several years.
