Virginia (Ginger) Ann Wiese, 73, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Beacon Hill Baptist Church, 1912 Monte Vista Street, Waco, with Pastor Reggie Blake officiating.
Known to many as Ms. Miller, Mrs. Wiese, Gingerbread and Ginger, she was born May 8, 1943, in Houston, TX to parents George and Ruby McCaleb. Ginger graduated from Fredericktown High School in Frederick, MO. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree through Sam Houston State University and also her Masters of Education Degree through Texas Eastern University.
She was married to Thomas J. Miller and they had 2 children, Craig and Jodie. She retired from La Vega ISD after 26 years of faithful service where she influenced many young lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 17 years, Robert C. Wiese.
Survivors include her children, Craig Miller his girlfriend Dawn James, and Jodie Miller. Brothers, John McCaleb and George McCaleb; Grandchildren Caitlynn Morrow, her fiancé Christopher Rosado, Cody Morrow, Jessica Miller, Tonia Smith her husband Matthew Smith, Michael Castillo, Amber James and Rachael James her boyfriend Miles Cruz. Great-grandchildren Corbin, Jensen and Jade. Nephews Michael and Kevin McCaleb. Gingerbread was vibrant, outspoken, spunky and full of life. She will always be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
