Vicki Lynn Phillips was born in Gladewater, TX but spent the majority of her life in the Central part of Texas. She graduated from Robinson High School in 1973. Her passion growing up and into adulthood was the world of pageants and especially Twirling. She loved teaching twirling and kept a special place in her heart for her students, even decades later. She spent her adulthood working in retail. Anyone who knew Vicki recognized she was the life of the party, and even up to her last days this was true. Vicki loved life and she loved her friends, of whom she had a multitude.
Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Eddie Carolyn Phillips; and her father, Edward Wesley Phillips; as well as many much-loved pets.
She leaves behind her beloved sister, who she called her best friend, Sharon Phillips Buehrle and brother-in-law, Walter Michael Buehrle. Vicki was an aunt and “other mother” to her nieces, Kelly Watkins Moore and Tobi Watkins Davis, as well as their spouses, Gary Moore and Eric Calhoun respectively. She has one bonus niece, Jennifer Cockrell, who is caring for Vicki’s beloved dog, Jack Daniels, who brought Vicki joy and was with her till the end. She has one great nephew, Colby Wayne Calhoun, who she adored. She has many cousins and friends that she has known for years that are too many to name. She loved everyone.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local animal shelter or rescue in her name. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
