Verrel “Buster” Linam 87 of Waco went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday November 9th, 2009. Graveside service will be 2 PM Wednesday November 11th at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Patterson officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Tuesday November 10th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Buster was born September 17, 1922 in Mena, AR., to Herbert Lee and Fannie Mae Linam. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Golinda. He painted houses for a living, and became a master painter. He was an avid fisher man, and loved to fish the brazos for catfish. He loved camping, and gardening. He loved to travel, especially to Georgia to visit with family. He loved watching football, especially the Cowboys. Buster truly loved his family very much and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 25 years Doris Moore Linam; 2 brothers J.W. and Lonnie Linam; a sister Violet Stahn; a grandchild Kimberly Sherrard.
He is survived by 2 daughters , Marsha Sherrard and husband Jerry of Waco, and Donna Crook and husband Bob of Waco; 2 sisters Leona Stahn of White Plains GA, and Margie Voiles and husband Jimmy of Waco; 3 sister-in-laws Denny Sue Linam of Robinson, Judy Linton, OH, and Ola Jean Craft of Golinda; 2 step-sons Larry Kling and wife Grace, and Dale Kling ; 4 grandchildren, Eric Sherrard and wife Denise, Jennifer Kettler and husband, Michael, Larry Clayton, and Melissa Kling; and many nieces and nephews.
