Verna Drake

Verna Mae Drake, 66, of Waco, was lifted to Heaven, Sunday, July 20, 2014. Services will be 1 pm, Monday, July 28, at The Church of The Open Door, 900 Texas 340 Loop, Waco, with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors, Sunday, July 27, from 3-5 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Verna was born November 24, 1947, in Chickasha, OK, to Frankie and Floyd Ingram. Working as a stay at home mom and later in life as a caregiver/CNA, she enjoyed taking care of others. Her passions in life were sewing, crossword puzzles and music, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Verna is preceded in death by her brother, 3 sisters, stepmother Dora and great grandson, Tyler.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents Frankie and Marvin Bourque, father Floyd Ingram, daughters Mary Brumbaugh and husband David, Angela Burgess, Pam Marsh, Rhonda Goerdt and husband Dennis, 11 grandkids, 7 great grandkids, 2 brothers, 8 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family, all of whom she cherished dearly.
Pallbearers will be, James Marsh, Joshua Marsh, Andrew Walker, Shane Bourque, Brandon Bourque, Bobby Daily, and Tyler Dobbs.
Honorary Pallbearer is Hayden Daily.
