A memorial service will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. on Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 AM.
Van Mark, 67, of Robinson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 11, 2013. She was born on December 28, 1945 to Herman and Mary Beth Willie. She graduated from Riesel High School in 1964. She was married to Darren Mark.
She will be remembered as a faithful Christian with amazing strength and endless energy, and selfless dedication to her family. She enjoyed shopping, doing crossword puzzles, taking pictures of her family, going to church and she had a soft spot in her heart for all animals. But, most importantly, she loved her family. She had a relentless commitment to her family, and always made sure that each and every one of them was taken care of. She was the best “Mammaw” ever!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary Beth Willie; and brother, Gary Willie. She is survived by her husband, Darren Mark; children, Bruce Ehlers and wife, Joni; Maureen Green and husband, Martin; Darrell Ehlers; and Douglas Ehlers and wife, Beverly; grandchildren Courtni Matelski (her favorite), Chelsei Ehlers, Shelbie Ehlers, Faith Ehlers, Kristen Green, Cassidy Green, Bruce Jr. Ehlers, Christopher Ehlers, and Emery Ehlers; great-grandchildren Kinley, Brookelyn, Brycen, and Knox; and siblings Linda Booth, Charles Willie, and Harry Henderson. The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors at Providence hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
