Tyler Killough

August 6, 1985 — March 29, 2020

Tyler Collins Killough of Dallas, TX went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Tyler was born on August 6, 1985 in Ft. Worth, TX. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 2004, where he excelled in baseball and basketball, making all district in both sports. He went on to play college baseball at Western Texas Junior College and Tarleton State University. After graduating from Tarleton he earned a master’s degree in sports management at Baylor University and did an internship with the Rough Riders in Frisco, TX.
Tyler later taught at Connally ISD and coached basketball. He was also an assistant coach for the varsity baseball team and later became the head coach. Tyler loved and had a special connection with the students that he taught and coached. Most recently, he worked for Dallas Door Company in Irving, TX as an assistant project manager.
Tyler fiercely loved his family and the many get-togethers that were filled with love, laughter, and the many memories that he and his family have cherished. He most especially loved and adored his three young nephews and spent many hours playing, laughing, and making precious memories with them.
Tyler was a member at Meadowbrook Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents Cary and Lori Killough of Robinson, TX; sister and brother-in-law Katy and Justin Grissom of Robinson, TX; brother and sister-in-law Ryan and Kelsey Killough of Robinson, TX; Grandmother Sue Hogue of Brownwood, TX; and his beloved nephews Grady and Logan Grissom, and Cooper Killough, all of Robinson, TX.
Due to this unprecedented time, the family will have a private graveside service and burial. We are saddened that our church family and community cannot join us in celebrating Tyler’s life due to the circumstances and gathering restrictions that are in place. Please know that we love every one of you and we welcome and appreciate your prayers, outpouring of love, texts, and calls.
Pecan Grove Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Meadowbrook Baptist Church building fund.
