Travis W. Cranfill 86, of Waco, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 19, 2010. A service of celebration will be held 11 AM Saturday May 22, 2010 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church 1207 Old Robinson Rd. with Rev. Cary Killough officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Friday May, 21 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Travis was born in Bosque County on February 19, 1924 to Jesse Mance and Noma Ridings Cranfill. He served in the United States Coast Guard and retired with 40 years of service with Owens – Illinois Glass Plant. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, and served as a Deacon. A devoted husband and father, Travis would have been married to his wife Juanita 66 years this spring. After his retirement Travis enjoyed traveling, and working for Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents; sister Frances Angerman; Brothers Joe, Hulan, and J.M. Cranfill Jr.; daughter Judy C. Groman.
He is survived by his wife Juanita Delores Cranfill; daughter Sandra C. Davis and husband Jim; granddaughters Kimberly C. Longino and husband Rory, Cecily J. Pina and husband Marty; grandsons Michael R. Kattner, II, and Matt Davis and wife Kate; five great-granddaughters Kayla, Lindsay, Faith, Alexis. and Zoe.
