Tommie Metcalf

Tommie Dwain Metcalf, 78, of Waco, TX passed away on Sunday August 14th. Per Tommie's wishes there will not be any services.

Tommie grew up in Corsicana where he learned his love for the western lifestyle which included training his favorite horse "Red" to do special tricks, rodeos, ranching, raising cattle and much more. He later moved to Waco and planted his family roots. Tommie worked for Alamo Steel and Goodwill. He found happiness in hunting, riding horses and developing friendships. His level of honesty and stubbornness is something his true friends and family expected. Another part everyone knew was how Tommie loved his dogs Harley and Snickers. They were his best friends along with his horse Madonna. They all had a special bond with each other that could not be broken. Tommie was and is loved by many and will be dearly missed! He will be in our hearts forever and never be forgotten!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore (Ted) Sydney Metcalf and Mary Louise Metcalf; and his wife, Gloria Metcalf.

Tommie is survived by his daughters, JoAnn Turner, Trixie Simons; son, Fred A. Metcalf; along with his sister, Teddy Bowman; his grandchildren, Justin Dwain Vedder and Maryjane Louise Wagenschein; and his two great-grandchildren, Chyeanne Vedder and Evan James Wagenschein.
