Timmy Wright

Timmy Wayne Wright, 66, of Robinson, TX, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023. He was born August 13, 1956, in Hillsboro, TX, to Harold and Nelda Jean (Burrell) Wright. Tim worked at Gulf States Paper for almost 30 years. After they closed, he went to work for the City of Robinson Water Department until he retired in December 2022.

Tim loved cars and motorcycles, especially riding his Can-Am Spyder. He enjoyed going to garage sales and more recently, magnet fishing. More than anything, Tim loved his family. One of the greatest joys in his life was spending time with his granddaughter, Isabella. Tim was well known as a jokester. He and his twin brother Tony loved pranking people, especially on Halloween. Tim also had a fascination with Big Foot.
Those who knew Tim would describe him as joyful and uplifting. He woke up every day with the intention of making it the best day. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Harold, and Nelda Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Chappell Wright; daughter, Katie Gamiz and husband Manuel; son, Lucas Wright and wife Baley; granddaughter, Isabella Gamiz; brother, Steve Wright and wife Rita; twin brother, Tony Wright and wife Carolyn; sister, Paula Svacina and husband Malcolm; sister-in-law, Paula Dieterich; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

To celebrate Tim’s life, the family would like for you to join them on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 3:00 p.m.– 5:00 p.m., at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 1207 North Old Robinson Road, Robinson, TX, 76706. It is not a formal service but a time to stop by, find an old acquaintance, and tell good stories about Tim and his antics (there were many).
