Natalia “Tilda” Chapa Davila, 87, of Waco, peacefully passed on Sunday, June 4, 2023, and entered her heavenly home. She died at Hewitt Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Benjamin Magnaye as Celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 12 with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Tilda was born in Mooreville, Texas, on December 1, 1935, to Paul Davila and Gertrude Chapa Davila. She attended school at Waco High. She worked in the Providence Hospital cafeteria for 34 years, retiring in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Gertrude Davila; her three brothers, Amado Davila, Sisto Davila, and Domingo Davila; her seven sisters, Louise Montemayor, Susana Garcia, Julia Flores, Lupe Lopez, Josephine Garcia, Irene Lopez and Victoria Guardiola.
Tilda is survived by her son, Johnny Davila (Trish) of Waco; her grandson, Paul Michael Davila of Houston; her sister, Pauline Rodriguez of Waco; her great-grandchildren, Amos, Gracefully and Clarity Davila of Houston.
