Terry Tuley, 71, of Robinson, Texas passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, July 5, 2024, after a battle with cancer. Visitation will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A private burial service will be held at the Robinson Cemetery with Pastor Randall Turner officiating.
Terry was born on January 5, 1953, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to JT Tuley and Elnora Emberlin Tuley. He graduated from Elmore City High School in 1971. After completing high school, he earned his associate's degree in business from Mt. View Community College in Dallas. He married Deleta “Dee” Henson in 1975. Terry started working in the corrugated box business in 1972 at Rock Tenn in Dallas and was employed there until he and his family moved to Waco in 1984. In Waco, he worked for Lux of Texas and Englander Container. After the passing of his wife, he moved to Godley, Texas, and in 2015 he married Rhonda Berg. That same year he was hired at Harris Packaging in Fort Worth and remained employed there until his death.
Terry did not know how to sit still and always found a hobby to keep him busy. Whether playing tennis, chasing bird dogs at field trials, or cheering on a racehorse at the track, his competitiveness always came out. The things he loved most were his family and friends, his dogs, Dr. Pepper, vanilla malts, and country music.
He was preceded in death by his father JT Tuley; his mother Elnora Tuley; and his wife Deleta “Dee” Tuley.
He is survived by his three daughters, Jenni Kent and husband, Bryan of Robinson, Kerri Corbin and husband, Cody of Lorena, Chrissy Brault and husband, Nick of Robinson; his grandchildren Kenly, Karli, Cooper, Bryce, Carter, Caleb, Colton, Beau and Lainey; his wife Rhonda Tuley of Godley; his brother Donny Tuley and wife, Sherrie of Oklahoma City; and his sister Betty Carter and husband, Billy of Tulsa.
Bearers will be Donny Tuley, Robert Erlanson, Mark Giles, Bryan Kent, Cody Corbin, and Nick Brault.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Terry’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
