Valentine “Tena” Elizabeth Tye 82, of Waco passed away at a local nursing home Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Services will be 10 am Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Tena was born Feb. 14, 1931 in Waco,Tx. to Jay and Mary Anderson. She was preceded in death by parents; husband Curtis Tye; sister, Opal Anderson and brother Frances Anderson.
Tena is survived by sons Larry J. Tye , Ronald G. Tye and wife Diana both of Waco. 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
