Tammy Orta, 53, of Hewitt passed away Friday, August 14, 2015. Memorial services will be 3pm Saturday, August 22 at Christian Life Church, 3015 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Tammy dedicated 14 years to Centex Foundation Repair as their office manager. On November 22, 1980 she married the love of her life Fred Orta, Jr., whom she celebrated 35 years with. She enjoyed creating her own special brand of hair bows she called “Tambows”. Tammy loved being near the water, swimming, being in the sun, as well as going to garage sales and thrift shops. She was a very loving grandmother to her two grandsons and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved her church family very much.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Mobley Roberts, step-mother, Jean Moore Bankhead; and father-in-law, Freddie R. Orta.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Fred Orta, Jr. ; father, Larry Bankhead; daughter, Heather Abshire and husband Paul; son, Caleb Orta and fiancé Hannah Bulovas; brothers, Travis Bankhead and wife Gayla, Keith Ingram and fiancé Sara; sisters, Stephanie Beeman and fiancé Wayne Rash, Brenda Tiedemann and husband Rick, April Murphy and husband Roger; grandchildren Preston Abshire, Parker Abshire; and mother-in-law, Tommie Rodriguez.
