Sue Nulph, 92, of Waco, TX, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, at the funeral home.
Sue was born December 31, 1931, in Falls County, TX, to Walter and Nellie (Tadlock) Lanford. She met Lewis Nulph while he was stationed at James Connally Air Force Base. They were married over 40 years until his death in 1996. She worked at Montgomery Wards and the Red Cross for several years. Sue was a compassionate person that was willing to help those in need. She loved taking care of her family. She was a wonderful cook and always had her banana pudding ready for anyone. She enjoyed working in her yard and watching all the birds that would come to the bird feeders she put out. She was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewis Nulph, Sr.; daughter, Debbie Ramirez; and her siblings, Margaret Carpenter, Ina Mae Davidson, Louise Withington, Walter Lanford, J.C. Lanford, Franklin Lanford and Amy Keys.
She is survived by her son, Lewis Nulph, Jr. and wife Jeanie; daughter, Cathy Whyburn and husband Bobby; sisters, Faye Carroll and Geraldine Walker and husband Richard; grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Kayla, Corey, Blake, Tylor, Gabriel, and Chris; along with numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
