Steven Richter

Steven Wayne Richter, 55, of Oglesby, TX, passed away Tuesday, June 7, in Tyler, TX. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Rev. Jerry Freedman officiating. Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery, FM 1996, Oglesby, TX. Visitation will be 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 10, at the funeral home.

Steven was born on July 29, 1960 in Dumas, Texas to George and Annie Richter. Steven graduated from La Vega High School in 1978. Steve went on to marry Gayle Johnson and through 31 years of marriage, they raised three children - Robert, Amanda, and Jennifer. Steve worked at Conway Freight for 25 years. Steve loved spending time with family and friends, riding his Harley, fishing and dove hunting.

Steve was preceded in death by his father George Richter, and is survived by his wife Gayle Richter; mother Annie Richter; son and daughter- in- law, Robert and Jessica Brown; daughter and son- in- law, Hector and Amanda Ibanez; and daughter Jennifer Richter; brothers, George Richter and wife Charlene, and Tommy Richter and wife Pam; granddaughters, Kadence and Kandace Brown, Madilyne Ibanez; grandsons Evin Fisher and Johnathan Ibanez, soon to be granddaughter Charley Ibanez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
