Steven L. Moody

Steven Leigh Moody, 77, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025. Funeral services will be 10am, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Father Daniel Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 – 8pm, Tuesday, January 7, at the funeral home. 

Steve was born January 20, 1947, in Chicago, IL, to Walter and Theona (Delaveris) Moody. He was an attorney in Waco for many years. He attended the University of Arkansas and Baylor Law School. Steve enjoyed reading historical books and working on model airplanes. He was an avid college football fan. “GO HOGS!” Steve was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and loved his church family.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Velinda (Veselka) Moody; sons, Benjamin and Steve, Jr; daughter, Audra; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Melissa Parsons and Tina Morgan; brothers, Ray Moody, Jr and Ted Moody; along with many other family members and friends.
