Steven Hurst

Steven Nickey Hurst, 70, of Waco, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. The family will receive visitors 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, at the funeral home.
Steven was born June 16, 1944, in Waco, to Balford and Ruby Hurst. He married Sara Nobles on July 3, 1964.
Steven is survived by his wife, Sara, of 50 years; son James Hurst and wife Dena; daughter Teresa Hurst Schwake; grandchildren, Cassie Schwake, Wesley Hurst, and Savanna Hurst; sisters Lynette Puryear, Myrna Puryear, and Janie Harper; sister-in-law, Sue Tomlin and family; brother-in-law, Danny Nobles and family; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Steven loved his family and times together. He loved fishing and hunting and spent many hours doing what he loved.
