Stephen Palmer

December 28, 1954 — October 30, 2021

Stephen Ray Palmer of Waco, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the age of 66. After several months of declining health, Steve left this earth peacefully with his beloved daughters Brittany and Brandy by his side.

Steve was born on December 28, 1954, to mother Sybil Jean Wardlaw and father Cecil August Palmer. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family led to him starting his own custom home building business. American Classic Homes recently celebrated 40 years of serving the Waco community. Outside of work Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, especially if they were fishing with him on his bass boat or scoping out bucks in his deer stand. Steve began playing piano at the age of 8, guitar at the age of 12, and bass guitar at the age of 18. He knew after the first time he picked up a bass and felt the groove, that he had found his instrument. In the late ‘70’s he moved to Long Beach, CA. Playing with local bands, he gained recording experience. Steve’s passion for music led him to remain active in the local music scene throughout his entire life.
