Stellita M Contreras, 77, of Waco gained her wings Friday, October 13, 2023 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 18 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco with burial immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 17 at the funeral home. Please join the family for the rosary and prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Stellita M Contreras was born January 5, 1946 to Meliton Morales and Mickeyla Rivas in Lubbock County, Texas. She married Israel Contreras on February 14, 1964. Her hobbies included gardening, sitting outside drinking coffee in the early mornings, garage sales and going to the flea market. She lit up a room with her smile. Her laughter could fill your heart with Joy. Her unfiltered charismatic character made you love her without knowing her. Stellita could silence a room with story time with stories of way back when. A Dr. Pepper and cigarettes were something she was never short of.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Israel Contreras Sr., granddaughter, Destiny Rae Contreras; grandson, Arthur Ray Contreras Jr.; grandson, Doroteo Villa III; brothers, Thomas Morales and Elias Morales.
Stellita is survived by her siblings, Judy Torres, Paul Morales, Janie Morales, and Junior Morales; children, Israel Contreras, Rene Contreras, Arthur Contreras, Michael Contreras, Lola Contreras, Norma Contreras, Kay, Sylvia, and Virginia Denoso; grandchildren, Diego, Stella, and Yesenia Contreras, Raven, Chelsea, Courtney, Jacob, Joe Angel Contreras, Kayla and Allie Contreras, Michael, Israel, Savannah, Contreras, George Jimenez III, Jamie and Jasmine Ramirez, Faith Villa, Nathaniel Soto and many more; along with numerous great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
