Shirley Mae Hilliard, age 70 of Waco, Texas, went to be with our Lord & Savior on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 2 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco Texas, with Pastors Ronnie Holmes and Roger West officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 1 at the funeral home. In accordance with current regulations, seating is limited, face coverings and social distancing is required.
Shirley was born May 3, 1950 in Waco, Texas to Cecil and Bertha Norris. She and Larry Hilliard married on October 10, 1975 in Waco, where they worked, lived and raised a family of four. Shirley was a woman of strong conviction, morals and faith. She had a beautiful heart that bore a bountiful and endless supply of love, kindness and giving. A wonderful mother and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father and mother; brothers, David Norris and Pete Norris; sisters, Margie Waller, Mary Dale Brown and Linda Myers; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by Larry, her husband of almost 45 years; sisters, Lillie Martin, Nancy Smith, Carol Taylor, Eva Sparks and Nelda Norris; children, Rhonda Tuosto and husband Michael, Brian Wiley, Terry Hilliard and wife Heather, Shane Hilliard and wife Shelley; grandchildren, Meagan Hernandez, Stormie Pamplin, Gage Wiley, Alaura Wiley and Savannah Hilliard; eight great-grandchildren; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
