Sharon Denise Henry passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at the age of 48.
Her memorial service is Monday, December 1, 11:00 am at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco TX, with Rev. Dr. Leslie King of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
Sharon was born Oct. 4, 1966, in Waco, TX to Anita Brown Briggs and Rueben Andress Dresner. She graduated from Baylor in 1995. Her life’s passion was her children, helping others, and caring for her cats. Her creativity and festive spirit was unmatched during the holidays, especially Halloween. Being a military spouse meant home was Fort Hood, TX, Fort Benning, GA, Schofield Barracks, HI, South Bend, IN, Fort Polk, LA, Fort Bragg, NC, Fort Leavenworth, KS, Fort Drum, NY, Fort Monroe, VA, Stephenville, TX, Seattle, WA, and Fort Knox, KY.
She is survived by her husband, LTC Ron Henry, US Army, her son, Taylor Andress, 17, her daughters, Reagan Elisabeth, 13, and Kady Virginia, 10; her sister, Diane and husband, Dana Williams, niece, Kitty and nephew, Jonah; her nephew, Jeffrey and wife, Sunny Williams and their three children, Macey, Emery and Lily; her niece, Avery and husband, John Kerley; her sister-in-law, Ronda and husband, Tom Grimsley and nephews, Samuel and Noah; her aunt, Alice Henderson, and several dear cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her cats, Chelsea and Olivia.
Pallbearers will be David Dresner, Paul Dresner, Jeffrey Williams, John Kerley, Nathan Allen, and Tom Grimsley.
In lieu of flowers, Sharon’s family requests a charitable donation to the Army Emergency Relief to take care of Soldiers and their families, www.aerhq.org.
