Sarah Ann Johnston

Sarah Ann Johnston, 70, of Waco, TX, passed away at home Monday, September 30, 2024. 

Sarah was born in Waco, TX, to Billy and Leslie (Parker) England in Waco, TX. She worked at Colorite Plastics, CertainTeed, and Hillcrest Hospital. Sarah was feisty and strong willed. She was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed time with her family, especially playing parcheesi and bingo. More than anything, Sarah loved her grandchildren. She tried to never miss any event they were involved in. She always stayed in touch with her family and called them all the time. She also loved her dogs and thought of them as her babies.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Pete Johnston, Sr., sons, Peter Johnston, Jr. and wife, Emily and Shannon Galloway and wife Tonya; grandchildren, Cody Pilgrim, Jordan Pilgrim, Micayla Galloway, Landyn Johnston, and Kensley Johnston; great-grandchildren, Miah Haws, Jaxon Haws, Jameson Haws, Quinton Montgomery. She is also survived by her great-nieces, Leticia Martinez, Eloisa Martinez, Vanessa Martinez, Yvonne Gutierrez, and Amanda Marroquin; and nephews, Billy Ed Sherrill and Johnny Sherrill; and numerous other family members.
