Sara Frances Hall 85, of Waco, went to be with Her Heavenly Father, Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Services will be 1 pm, Monday, August 11, 2014, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2000 Clay Ave, Waco, TX 76706, with Pastor Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors, Sunday, August 10, from 6-8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Sara was born October 12, 1928, in Red Oak TX, to Thomas and Thelma West. She was a graduate of Red Oak High school in 1945, and received the honor as Valedictorian. She worked for the United Rubber Workers, Local 312. In her 35 years as the secretary there, she began forming friendships with the employees and their family’s at General Tire, knowing everyone by name. She loved people and never missed the opportunity to make a friend. Sara was a proud and longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Vernon Hahn; sister, Edna Faye Bennett.
She is survived by her husband, Emery Hall; son, Steve Hahn and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be, David Trammel, Rodney Hornung, Bill Jordan, James Raborn, Clarence Lehrman, Sam Lee and Lloyd Hall
Honorary Pallbearers will be, URW local 312.
The family wishes donations may be made in Sara’s name to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
