Samuel Roberts

Samuel Louis Roberts, 50, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. Graveside services will be 1 pm, Wed., Feb. 24 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum, 6623 South Interstate 35, Waco, with Pastor David Cozart officiating. Interment immediately following. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 pm Tues., Feb., 23 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.

Samuel Louis Roberts was born January 11, 1966 in Redondo Beach, California to James and Linda Roberts. He lived his first 11 years in Santa Monica, spending many hours on the beach. Sam moved to China Spring, Texas in 1978 where he attended school. Sam joined the US Army after High School, serving two years. He moved to Spring Hill, Florida making that his home for the last 25 years. He spent his time working with charities, in thrift stores, and donating to Veteran’s and Children’s organizations.

Sam is preceded in death by his father, James Faudi Roberts; and son Samuel Austin Roberts.

Survivors include his parents, Bill and Linda Taylor; brothers, James Roberts and wife, Gina, Brad Taylor and wife, Dawn; nephews, Mearlin and Griphin Roberts; nieces, Maddicyn, Klohie, and Aerabella Taylor; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to your favorite charity. Sam was passionate about charities for children and veterans.
