Ruth E. Schronk, 86, of Lorena, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 in Waco. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Mon. Jan. 25, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1301 Hogan Lane, Bellmead, with Pastor Larry Krueger officiating. Interment following at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Malone. The family will receive visitors 5 to 7 pm, Sun., Jan. 24 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.
Ruth was born on Dec. 12, 1929 to Edward and Alvina Maass Adler in Hill County. She married Roy J. Schronk on Dec. 10, 1949 in Hillsboro. Ruth was a woman of strong Christian faith being a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She spent many years as a Sunday School teacher and was an accomplished seamstress. She was known to be courageous, yet kind with the gentlest spirit. Her family remembers her as the most wonderful wife and mother, but what brought her the greatest joy was being a Mawmaw.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Roy J. Schronk; children, Wanda Wiseman-Houston and husband, Peter, Gregory Schronk and wife, Cheryl; Leonard Schronk and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Christian Schronk, David Wiseman-Armitage and wife, Lacey, Sarah Wiseman, William Wiseman and wife, Alissa, Joseph Wiseman, Matthew Wiseman, Trevor Schronk and wife, Jennifer, Katrina Grubbs, Kathryn Schronk; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dasia, Trevor Jr., Alecs, Justin, Bailey, Michael; sisters, Lilly, Esther, and Erna.
