On November 30th, 2023, our wonderful father was called to be with his Heavenly Father. Russel Ray Wiggins Sr. was born in Foreman Arkansas on October 14th, 1938. Russel was preceded in death by his cherished wife Shirley Ann Wiggins, daughters Melody Kay Wiggins and Linda LaRay Orban, his great granddaughter Hannah Shay Wiggins, parents Nollie Jewel and Howard Clennis Wiggins, his brothers Tommy Wiggins and Darrel Gene Wiggins, and his sister Jane Jordan.
As a young man of 17, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. At his first duty station in Amarillo, Texas, he met and married his beloved wife, Shirley. Together, they raised their children making a home wherever the military sent them. After proudly serving his country for 21 years, he retired settling in Robinson Texas for many years before relocating to Amarillo in the early 1980s. In 2001 Russel and Shirley made the decision to return to Central Texas and made their home in Bruceville, TX. Russel was a member of Bruceville Community Church. He loved the Lord, and he loved his family. His favorite hobby was meeting with his friends at the local cafe as they kept up with all the community news and solved world problems over early morning coffee.
He was the best father his children could have ever asked for. He leaves behind a daughter Patricia Kinder of Waco TX, a son, Russel "Rusty" Wiggins & wife Sherry of Owasso OK, a son, Howard Wiggins & wife Chauntay of Waco TX, and daughter, Alicia Parrish & husband Tommy of China Spring TX.
Many people also knew him as the world's best Papa.
