Ruby Wright

Ruby Wright, 79, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5 – 7:00 p.m., Friday Nov. 10, at the funeral home.
Ruby was born Feb. 23, 1938, in Waco, TX, to H.F. and Nellie Mullins Barnes. She married Marshall Wright on January 20, 1973. Ruby loved family gatherings at her and Marshall’s home. She was passionate about cooking and was known for her coconut cream pie and banana pudding. She loved being around children, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James Barnes, Lofton Barnes, William Barnes, Gerald Barnes and Leo Barnes; sister, Nell Bennett; and daughter-in-law, Virginia Tuley.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Roger Dees and wife Tracy, Michael Tuley, Philip Wright and wife Connie, and Gary Wright; sisters, Dolores Busch and husband Edward, and Virginia Dollar and husband Tom; her grandchildren, Cullen Dees, Peyton Dees, Neal Tuley, Benjamin Tuley, Pascal Tuley, Stephen Wright and Melody Wright; and great-granddaughter Cadence Wright.
