Ruby was born May 02,1924 to Tillie and Charles Uptmor in Tours, Texas. She married Anton William Vrba on April 18, 1942 at St. Martins Church in Tours, Texas and they made their home in Leroy, Texas after WWII. In 1952, they moved to Waco where she lived the remaining 72 years of life. She gave 35 years of service at the Owens Illinois Glass Plant where she made true lifelong friends, In her free time you could find her cheering for her favorite little league baseball team, or building her faith by crafting Rosaries at St. Mary's. She would be cooking up wild game on her gas range (favorite dish was fresh caught fried catfish), or perhaps, reminiscing with a Big O' at Georges. One might have seen her in the Texas Panhandle on her way to the high country of Colorado or heading towards the dolphin docks of the Gulf Coast. She couldn't be missed letting loose in Las Vegas, having a ball in Bossier City, or Laughing with her many friends at the local hangouts. In the last years of her life, she would journey back to her younger days with trips to the old familiar countryside of Tours and Leroy, the place she called home. Now, she is in her Heavenly Home with Anton, the Love of Her Life.
