Ruby Jean Jennings

Ruby Jean Jennings, age 87, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Corsicana, Texas. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Freedman officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Robinson Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 29th at the funeral home.

Ruby was born February 15, 1937 to James and Alice (Carr) Courtney in Waco, Texas. She married the love of her life, W.A. (Dub) Jennings, November 3, 1953. Ruby shared the love of the Lord with everyone she knew. She attended Northside Baptist Church in Corsicana. Ruby loved her family, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Jimmy Courtney; and sister, Joyce Beckum.

Ruby is survived by her son, Garry Jennings and wife Dorothy of Mesquite, TX; daughter, Valarie Contreras and husband Rene of Corsicana, TX; son, Chris Jennings and wife Tammy of Texarkana, AR; grandchildren, April Keller (Justin), Jason Jennings (Angela), Justise Contreras (Meridith), Austin Contreras (Taylor), Tyler Jennings, Blake Jennings, and Brady Ives; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Dalton, Brianna, Jax, Gavin, and Landry; sisters, Lillie Johanson (Johnny) and Carolyn Nitschke (Doug); along with many nieces and nephews.
