Ruby Mariam Box, 91, of Hewitt, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, March 15, 2013. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., with Bro. Jimmy Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors Sunday, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the funeral home.
Ruby was born May 28, 1921, in Blue Ridge, Texas, to Lee and Beatrice Sprouse. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Walling; and brother, Milton Sprouse.
She is survived by her husband, Leycester "L.A." Box; daughters, Wanda Lane and husband, Fred, and Barbara Tarvin and husband, David; grandchildren, Mark Lane and wife, Connie, Stacy Barnard and husband, Ken, Bill Lane and wife, Frankie, Shannah Pace and husband, Grady, James Tarvin and wife, Stacy, Leta Ward and husband, David, Wendell Standifer, and Delbert Harris; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many loving and caring friends.
Special thanks to Texas Home Health Care, Dr. Kitson, Medical Staff of HBMC ICU and 4 North, Charity Goodall and Angela Hudson, and helpful caring neighbors.
Pallbearers will be Mark Lane, Bill Lane, Fred Lane, David Tarvin, James Tarvin, and Cameron Tarvin. Honorary Pallbearer is Virgil Cunningham.
