Ruben Velasquez

Ruben Porquillo Velasquez died peacefully in Waco, Texas on December 6, 2019 at the age of 40. A visitation is scheduled for December 14, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ruben’s life and join us for pool and drinks afterwards. We ask that you wear your Longhorn gear in honor of Ruben. Ruben is survived by his son Ethan Velasquez of Gatesville, Texas, his sister Reyna Velasquez of Waco, Texas and his sister Margarita Deleon of Conway, Arkansas and also by many nephews and great nephews and great nieces. He is preceded in death by his mother Maria Porcallo, his sister Rufina Velasquez and his brother Johnny Velasquez all of Gatesville, Texas.
Ruben was born on September 26, 1979 in Gatesville, Texas to Maria Porcallo and Leonardo Velasquez. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1998. Ruben was an avid pool player and enjoyed spending time with his son and his dog Cinnamon and going on long country rides. His compassionate spirit was loved by everyone. He will be deeply missed by many.
