Royce Buckley Sitton “Buck”, 84, passed away September 7, 2014 at the Waco VA Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Memphis, Texas on December 3, 1930 to parents, W. Frank and Beatrice (Sheffield) Sitton. Buck was a former sports editor at the Snyder Daily News and a longtime resident of Scurry County.
Buck was preceded in death by Patsy Sitton. He is survived by two children, Marika Sitton Clark and husband David of Australia and Brian Sitton and wife Jennifer of Waco, Texas as well as 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 10am at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the “Pat Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund” at Greater Waco Baptist Church, 912 E. Loop 340, Waco, Texas 76705.
