Rosa “Rosie” Dominguez, 88, of Robinson, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 6 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Rosie was born March 26, 1928, in Waco, TX, to Filiberto and Margarita Perez Rodriguez. She worked as a cosmetologist; she later retired from La Vega ISD, where she worked for many years. Rosa loved family gatherings, being around children, music, animals and laughter. She will always be remembered for her delicious homemade pies and her love of dancing. She especially loved being pampered and spoiled by her family, having her nails, hair and makeup done.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Casimira Beltran, Filiberto Rodriguez, Jr., Isidoro Rodriguez, and Tommie Carrizales.
Rosie is survived by her sister, Margaret Macias; brother, Joe Rodriguez; along with many nieces and nephews.
A reception will follow the service at the Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, 915 La Salle Ave, Waco, TX.
