Ronnie Warren Parker, 72, of Waco, TX, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Thursday January 20th at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 19th, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Ronnie (Ron) was born February 16, 1949 in Delco, NC to Clayton R. Parker Sr. & Cora Magdaline Parker. He left home to serve his country in Vietnam. After returning stateside, he traveled the world, rejoined the Army National Guard and eventually settled in Waco, TX to start a family. Ron worked as a land surveyor for the majority of his career, finishing his career at TSTC in Waco teaching Land Surveying. Ron enjoyed teaching and impacted many lives throughout his military and civilian life.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends & family, BBQing and sharing a meal with people, wood working, fishing for white bass on the Bosque River, attending concerts, sitting around a fire jamming to music and most importantly spending quality time with his sons Daniel & Robert. Ron was a loving father, hardworking & giving man, he never met a stranger, and helped anyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton R. Parker Sr. & Cora Magdaline Parker and sister Sara Parker.
He is survived by his children, Daniel Parker, wife Kaleigh Parker, and Robert Thomas, along with his siblings, Clayton R. Parker Jr., wife Stella Parker, Sandra Parker, Phillis Hair, & Linnet Parker.
