Ronald Schaake

Ronald Martin Schaake of Chilton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 27,2013 at the age of 61 years. Services will be Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Chilton, TX with Pastors Jason Burden and Andrew Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Cego, Texas. Family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Ronnie was born on February 7, 1952 in Marlin, Texas to Roland Schaake and Wanda Crosby Schaake. Ronnie was one of God's special children who loved life and his family more than words could express. The light in his heart were his two nieces, Rachael and Rebecca and their children. He loved watching them grow up and never wanted to miss any event which they participated in.
Ronnie was a graduate of Chilton High School. He worked for Dub Carbell and Pure Milk Co. Delivering milk to area grocery stores and schools for many years. He also worked at Piggly Wiggly ,IGA , Albertson's ,Reese's Kashway Grocery in Marlin, Texas, and Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
Ronnie never met a stranger and was a great advocate of any and all volunteer organizations where he enjoyed spending countless hours in helping to raise funds for his community and school.
Ronnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chilton, Lion's Club, on the board of the Falls County Samaritan House , honorary member of the Chilton and Rosebud Volunteer Fire departments, Rosebud Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture .
He was an avid fan of the Baylor Bears and the Rosebud - Lott Cougars, but The Chilton Pirates were always number one in his heart , where he worked diligently as the football manager while in high school and later ran the first down markers at the football games for as long as his health would allow.
Ronnie's greatest delight was to call his many friends and family on a daily basis in order to report the news of the day, sometimes calling many times in one day.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roland and Wanda Schaake, and his grandparents Ewald and Martha Schaake, and Preston and Ruby Crosby, Twin Great Nephews, Levi and Cooper Maxey.
He is survived by his sister Sharon Maxey and her husband James, nieces Rachael Bosse and her husband Walter , and Rebecca Maxey and partner Crystal Brewer , Great nieces and nephews Taylor , Avery and Colton Bosse and Evan Maxey all of Chilton, Texas . Many aunts, uncles and cousins and a multitude of dear friends .
