Roland Taylor

Roland Troy Taylor, 75, passed away on November 18, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Providence Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco with his pastor Pat Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23 at the funeral home.
Roland was born to Truett Taylor and Ruth (Arnold) Taylor on October 9, 1939. He graduated from Bynum High School in 1957. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps. Roland married Cheryl Hyde April 14, 1989. They enjoyed rodeos, horse racing, and breeding horses. Roland worked for Mrs. Baird’s as a sales manager until he retired. Roland loved the gatherings with all his in-laws, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was a member of Patton Baptist Church in Valley Mills.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Bradley Taylor.
Roland is survived by his wife Cheryl Taylor; daughter Deborah (Taylor) Brooks and husband Dean; two grandchildren, Sarah Brooks and Ryan Brooks.
