Roberto (Robert) Diaz

Roberto (Robert) Diaz, 71, of Waco, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Temple. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Deacon Tony Arocha officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mart Cemetery. There will be a visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 15 at the funeral with the reciting of the Rosary at 7 p.m.

Robert was born March 20, 1951 to Cirilo and Alejandra (Hernandez) Diaz in Mart, Texas. He attended Robinson schools followed by McLennan Community College. Robert worked at Gross-Yowell, Foremost Fine Dairy, and Oasis Water, as well as, several cement companies. He loved truck driving, being outdoors and watching baseball. His favorite things were watching the Dallas Cowboys and being with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Lupe Diaz.

Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Diaz; children, Robert Diaz Jr. and wife Irene, Tammy Ann Martinez, Tommy Joe Diaz and wife Celeste; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved so much; siblings, Carmen Ruby and husband Scott, Domingo Diaz and wife Ruth, Jesse Diaz and wife Debbie, Candido Diaz and wife Pam, Felix Diaz, Elonore Bishop and husband Mike, Tina Chavez and husband Martin, Teresa Morales and husband Arturo, Alexandra Jones and husband Rob; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
