Roberta Billings

Roberta Billings, 84, of Robinson, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, at Waco Memorial Park, 6623 Interstate 35 S, with Pastor Brooks Kimmey officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Roberta was born May 16, 1933, in Plainview, Texas, to Ted and Hester Garner Prosser. She was married to Weldon Billings for 60 years prior to his death in 2013. Roberta, also known as “Mema” was a loving mother and grandmother who never missed a sporting event of her children or her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler for over 50 years, traveling to several national championship tournaments. After Weldon’s retirement, they went on many RV trips with family and friends.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon; her son, Michael Billings; her parents; and one brother, Sonny Prosser.
She is survived by her daughter, Tyann Bohne; grandchildren, Clay Bohne and Rachel Sulak, and Shannon Smith and husband Andy; sister Joan King; great-grandchildren, Madison Bohne and Preslee Bohne, Weston Smith and soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Reese Renee Smith; she is also survived by one niece and several nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Roberta’s name to Providence Hospice, 6700 Sanger Ave., Waco, TX, 76710.
